NORTHWEST OREGON TRANSIT ALLIANCE
North by Northwest Connector
roll out of an innovative transit system geared toward getting riders where they want to be
This far-reaching project was funded by a $3.5 million grant from the Department of Energy to: promote coordination between the five transit agencies, brand and market transit as an asset for economic development, and establish private public partnerships for sustainable funding. The improved collaboration and branding strategy makes a difference for riders in three ways: improved transit connections, ease of use and information, and increased opportunities for partnerships with businesses and institutions within the region.
The multi-tiered branding and marketing “tool kit” includes: logo/tagline, incentive brochures, posters, maps, website and videos for three target audiences: visitors, commuters, and students as well as a wayfinding system and custom bus shelters.
